Summary:
Thomas Edward Adams was born in 1884 in England and married Marion
Bruce Gales in 1909 at Warra, Queensland. Thomas Adams [2284] served in the
First World War in the 3 Field Artillery Brigade at Gallipoli and France. At
that time Thomas Adams and his wife were living in Sydney.
After the Second World War, Thomas Adams returned
to Toorbul and continued his farming pursuits and moved to Lagoon Creek by
1949. Thomas Adams, aged 73, died 24 Sep 1957.
Thomas Adams’s daughter Ellen Mary Hayter
(1910-2000) served with distinction during the Second World War. Lieutenant
Mary Hayter [QX23505, Q70253] was a nursing sister and served in England, the
Gaza Ridge and Nazareth.[3]
