Occupation: Home duties.  Next of kin: (father) Mr Justinian Herbert Grant.
Address on enlistment: Bribie Island. 

 6 Jan 1944, Gaythorne. Australian Women’s Army Service (AWAS) 
members of 2 Australian Returned Stores Depot, Textile Workshops,
examining reconditioned clothing preparatory to storing.

12 Jan 1942: 3 Ordnance Depot and 2 Stores Depot at Brisbane and Wallangarra.

18 Apr 1944: Discharged.

Life Summary:
Edith Grant (1898-1982) was born 24 Feb 1898 at Allora, the youngest child of Justinian Herbert Grant (1868-1952) and Anna Frederika Jeserich (1869-1935). Edith Grant’s father Justinian Grant moved to Bribie Island after the death of his wife.

After her military service, Edith resided at 19 Banya street with her father, whom she looked after until his death in 1952, aged 85. Edith had been associated with Bribie Island for over 50 years when she died 15 Apr 1982, aged 84.
